Advancing Access is a patient support program that can provide information on coverage and financial support options for individuals who have been prescribed a Gilead HIV treatment, HIV prevention, or COVID-19 medication.

Enrolling my patients in Advancing Access

How do I enroll a patient in Advancing Access? How long does it take to complete enrollment?
  • You can download an enrollment form and fax it to the number on the form. Your patient’s enrollment form will be reviewed, and we will reach out to you as quickly as possible
  • You can also call Advancing Access at 1-800-226-2056 to speak with a program specialist
What fields are necessary for a complete enrollment form?

All required sections of the enrollment form, along with your signature and your patient’s signature, are required to be completed.

Where can my patient receive treatment for COVID-19 in the outpatient setting?

The Patient Assistance Program (PAP)

What is the Patient Assistance Program (PAP)?

The Gilead Advancing Access Patient Assistance Program (PAP) provides prescribed Gilead COVID-19 medication, free of charge, to eligible individuals treated with Gilead's COVID-19 medication in the outpatient setting.

How can I enroll my patient in PAP?
  • You can fax a completed enrollment form to the number on the form. All faxed enrollment forms are reviewed in the order they are received, and you will be notified within 2 business days with a determination of eligibility
  • Or, if there is an urgent need to get your patient started, please call an Advancing Access program specialist at 1-800-226-2056
  • Lastly, there may be situations where you have treated a patient with Gilead’s COVID-19 medication due to an urgent need and they had not yet been assessed for PAP eligibility. In this situation, complete the enrollment form, including page 5, and fax it to Advancing Access
I submitted a faxed enrollment form on my patient’s behalf. How will my patient or I be notified if they are eligible for PAP?

Advancing Access will notify you and your patient if they were eligible based on the preferred communication method your patient listed on the enrollment form.

Does my patient need to be residing in the United States to be eligible for PAP?

To be eligible to enroll into PAP, individuals need to be residents of the United States, Puerto Rico, or US Territories, in addition to meeting other eligibility criteria. Proof of residency may be required.

How long does PAP enrollment last?

PAP enrollment for Gilead’s COVID-19 medication is for one treatment course.

If my patient needs treatment with Gilead's COVID-19 medication again in the future, can I re-enroll the patient in PAP?

If a patient has a need for additional PAP support for Gilead’s COVID-19 treatment, please call Advancing Access at 1-800-226-2056.

My patient is enrolled in PAP and was administered Gilead’s COVID-19 treatment in my office due to an emergent medical need. Can I receive replacement product?

Yes, if your patient is eligible for PAP, you may be able to receive product replacement if it was administered to the patient due to an emergent medical need. Please download and complete the Advancing Access enrollment form. To apply for replacement product, be sure to fill out section 11 on page 5. Fax the completed form to 1-833-445-3239.

The Gilead Advancing Access co-pay program

What is the Gilead Advancing Access co-pay program?

The Gilead Co-pay Coupon Card may help eligible, commercially insured individuals lower their out-of-pocket (OOP) costs. It is not available to your patient if they are enrolled in any federally or state-funded prescription drug program, such as Medicare, Medicare Part D, or Medicaid. For more information and to see if your patient is eligible, please call Advancing Access at 1-800-226-2056.

My patient was treated in an outpatient facility for COVID-19 and was charged a co-pay. Are they still eligible for the co-pay program?

If your patient was treated in an outpatient facility and paid out of pocket (OOP) for their co-pay, they may be eligible for direct member reimbursement (DMR). Please have them call an Advancing Access program specialist at 1-800-226-2056 to see if they are eligible.

How can my patient enroll in the co-pay program?

Please have your patient call Advancing Access at 1-800-226-2056 to speak with a program specialist to enroll. Alternatively, you can call Advancing Access to enroll on their behalf if needed.

How much does the co-pay coupon card cover?

The coverage amount varies depending on the medication. The co-pay coupon card for Gilead’s COVID-19 medication covers up to 20% of the catalog price. See terms and conditions. For more information, call Advancing Access at 1-800-226-2056.

Does my patient’s co-pay coupon card expire?

The co-pay coupon card for Gilead’s COVID-19 medication is for one treatment course. If your patient needs additional COVID-19 co-pay support in the future, call Advancing Access at 1-800-226-2056.

What happens if a patient loses their co-pay coupon card or information?

Please have your patient call an Advancing Access program specialist at 1-800-226-2056.
